| Is it automated patching? |
NO. There are alternatives that claim to offer automated installation of patches, however most feedback on these products (and our own experience has been) is the technology simply isn't not ready to be utilized in production environments for detecting installed software and/or required patches. Instead Active Patches provides an easy to use infrastructure to track software assets and patches available for those assets. Unless you are managing a single server you probably have multiple servers needing the same patch. Tracking what servers have already been patched, and which still need patching is a CRITICAL issue to anyone who wishes to accurately manage their network - We provide the infrastructure necessary to track this, and the historical information to show when patches were installed. Our easy to use reports provide a clear way to see what needs to be done quickly and effortlessly.

Software is fully managed by BitShop and doesn't require you to have any knowledge in web servers, or any specific hardware/software requirements. We use the ASP (Application Service Provider) model to offer this application.
Pricing starts at only $99/year.
Software updates are FREE.

Active Patches is very user friendly and is designed to be used by anyone, but primarily IT staffs / managers.
Free E-mail support is provided.
If required personal one on one technical support (via telephone) is available for $30 per incident.
Technical support is available to walk you through hot fix installations for business owners that don't have an IT staff but want someone to be on the phone to assist them during hot fix installations, cost for this support starts at $60.
