Setup in Microsoft Outlook 98 / 2000:
If you don't already have a profile create a new profile. The service you will be using is "Internet E-Mail". If you already have a profile go to tools - services - Internet E-Mail - click Properties.

These instructions are to create a new profile
Launch Outlook, When it prompts for which profile click New
Click Add a new e-mail account
Select POP3
User Information:
Your Name: (Whatever you wish for people to see as your name)
E-Mail Address: (Your return address, i.e. webmaster@<domain.com>)
Server Information:
Incoming mail server: pop3.bitshop.com
Outgoing mail server: smtp.bitshop.com
Login Information:
Username: mail####
Password: (Your password)
Remember Password can be checked if you wish
Click More Settings - Outgoing Server tab - Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" - Use same settings as my incoming mail server should be selected
Setup in Microsoft Outlook Express:
Go to Tools - Accounts. Click Add - E-Mail Account - This will run the internet mail wizard.
Fill in your name as you wish for it to appear on messages you send.
Use I already have an e-mail address and type in the address you wish for people to see (do not use the mailxxxx@pop3.bitshop.com) -
My incoming mail server is a POP3 server. Incoming server: pop3.bitshop.com - Outgoing server: smtp.bitshop.com
Internet Mail Logon - This should be the mailxxxx number and your mailbox password. This will bring you to outlook express to use it. However you must go to tools - Accounts - click the account you just created and do properties.
Setup in Netscape Mail (version 7):
Remove any existing account(s) if they aren't to be used any longer
Click Add Account
Select EMail account and click next
Your Name: Enter what you wish to have displayed in your emails
EMail Address: Your e-mail address @ your domain name.com
Type of server: POP3
Incoming Server: pop3.bitshop.com
Account Name: Anything you wish to name it in Netscape
Click finish
Go to Outgoing Server (SMTP)
Server Name: smtp.bitshop.com
Port: 25
Use name and password should be checked
Make sure this is your default smtp account
NOTE: We've had a few users report that even though smtp.bitshop.com is the default smtp account netscape requires them to edit their incoming mail account - Click Advanced - and manually select smtp.bitshop.com:25 as the outgoing mail server. This shouldn't be required but if you get an error "unable to connect to the smtp server" manually setting your account to go to smtp.bitshop.com:25 should fix it.
Setup in Eudora / Eudora Pro:
Select Tools - Options - Hosts: Under 'Pop Account' input your account name mailxxxx <we provide you with this number once your mail account is set up>@pop3.bitshop.com. Example: mail9876@pop3.bitshop.com.
