So you thought we were done with programmers thinking a century changing would never happen, eh? Well one of the SpamAssassin rules thinks 2010 is "grossly in the future". How do you fix this?
Let's start with what the problem is - Rule:
Standard description: The date is grossly in the future.
As you can expect this is a known bug, however even though our spam filters auto update the rules this "fix" isn't fixed.
The simplest fix is to chagne to score to 0, you can modify this in your /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf - or any other .cf file you use for your custom scores by adding this line:
score FH_DATE_PAST_20XX 0.0
Good luck and Happy New Year

Re: y2k Version 2.01 - SpamAssassin thinks 2010 is "grossly in the future" so MUST be spam..I must not be the only person running into this - SpamAssassin's web site is down with Apache errors :-) I'm sure it's very temporary..
